Default PvE Character Memory

This idea just popped into my head, and it's pretty damn bizarre, but why the hell not throw it out here, right?

How would everyone feel about a PvE Character recall system? For example,

I delete my level 16 Monk to start a new PvE Mesmer, but I end up wanting to go back to my Monk.

I understand how this wouldn't work on a technical level, due to server space and such, but how about a system that stores a limited number of characters in memory, so we wouldn't have to start a deleted character completely over again, instead just "load" him where he was before we deleted him, with his items, equipment, etc?

If that doesn't make sense, I'll clarify later.

I think I understand. You mean basically write all the important data about the character into a file and make it unplayable? It's kinda like "archiving" a character.

It could work. In theory, it'd be like more character slots without actually having more character slots.

i think if that idea ever becomes reality and is actually put in the game there will be a few people trying to hack or watever to make em have more character slots.

It would be easier just to make a PvE-only slot, in my opinion.

I frequently remake my PvP monk (especially when i unlock new runes and stuff) with the same name and same basic look (face, hair, skin tone, armor, height) but occasionally change dye colors.

Whats funny is...sometimes when i log on, the preview screen shows previous versions of my character (because of the difference in tatoo colors). So i think this kind of "archive memory" is inherently inside the system...

Exactly. An Archival system so we don't have to wipe 350 hour characters. ^_^

Maybe a limit of two archived infos, but we can re-assign which char data is archived.

i am pretty pissed at a similar problem

its the damn 4 character slots total

why can't there be a max of 4 and one always deletable open slot for PVP char

i have 4 full pve chars which are of the classes ranger, monk, and warrior only

they are raking in the faction for me

and i have unlocked tons of stuff for other classes, only problem is exactly the same problem you're facing

don't want to delete a char with tons of hours on it and customed armor

for a random, limited-customizability, quick, build-testing PvE character

they should always let you create and delete them with no penalty

so your account would consist of 4 character slots ( role playing )

and 1 always open pvp slot which once filled can be deleted etc.

Making the account size 5.

Im the total opposite I have only one pve char and the rest pvp ones, heh.

Id prefer seeing pvp and pve slots being a seperate thing yet part of the same account.

Like choose pve boom your four pve slots, choose pvp boom your four pvp slots... sheat im to tired to make sense...
